Babycakes Art is a great mom-owned, mom-made shop offering a line of birth announcement prints and custom silhouettes!   Her work is available at her etsy shop www.babcakesart.etsy.com.   I had an opportunity to interview Bekkah (owner of babycakes art) and ask her a few questions about her shop.

When and why did you start Babycakes Art?

I started babycakes art about 2 months ago. I feel very blessed to be able to be at home with my girls, but I also have found I need something for just me. I needed an outlet and a place to be creative! I have been out of the working world for a while~ so this has been exactly what I have been needing.

A friend of mine told me about etsy and here I am! I have always loved to create personal gifts for family and friends. I think it makes the person feel as though you made that extra effort to give them something from the heart. Another interest of mine is silhouettes. I think they are very classic. They seem to be timeless.

Tell me a little more about your products and your best seller:

I have designed a line of birth announcement prints and custom silhouettes. I loved designing these. It has been so much fun! I have tried to design things I would buy and hang on my children’s walls. I now have expanded the line to notecards/thank you notes and invitations. They are all custom made with matching stickers. The stickers are that extra detail that everyone will notice.

My most popular product has been the Giraffe design . I can make the design in any color. I think this is my favorite also!

Something I love about Babycakes Art is that everything is completely customizeable! See a design that’s not the right colors, she’ll work with you to get it just right. Need a custom design to match a new baby’s room? She can usually do that too!!!
