I was contacted recently by a media group about The Laurie Berkner Band and Soundcheck, Walmart’s original performance series that allows you to get up close and personal with your favorite performers. This month they are featuring The Laurie Berkner Band. This is a very fun way to get to know some of the most popular artists and their music just a little better. Behind the scenes looks and interviews with Laurie and the band are available on the Soundcheck site!

    Both my daughter and I love to listen and sing along to Laurie Berkner in the car. Her music gives such great, positive energy!

    The songs aren’tanooying and loud. She has a pleasant, soothing type of voice. Most importantly, her songs are fun. I sometimes find myself hummimg one after hearing it on the tv.

    My kids love Laurie! They love how active the songs are-great for marching jumping and skipping. She puts a lot of motion into her music.

    Laurie Berkner writes the most innovative, catchy new songs available to children today! My three year old listens to her over and over and over and over! Her bold, bright outfits are so fun, too!

    One of the things my daughter loves about this band, is the props they use. Like paper pigs on their heads (When their singing the pig on your head song) or Sitting under a big tree, or eggs for the chicken and egg song. She loves that!

    I’m actually writing in for my nephew. I have seen him watch her videos and listen to her cd’s and grab a play guitar and re-inact the whole thing. He has really developed a love for music by listening to her. He saw her in concert too!

    Oh my, the question would be better served what does not appeal to us about Laurie Berkner. Our two year old absolutely loves her! As soon as she saw the computer screen she said, “Laurie!!” Her songs can be regularly heard through our house as we dance around. Such fun! My little girl would love this cd as she loves her first!

    We have one of Laurie’s CDs and we just love it. The music is peppy and imaginitive, but not annoying to adults like lots of kids’ music is.

    We are huge Laurie Berkner fans. I can actually play her music in the car and not feel like banging my head against the window! We Are the Dinosaurs and Buzz Buzz are great to get my kids up and moving even during our cold snowy winters.

    Laurie Berkner has been my 3 yr. olds favorite for over a year now. She writes great songs that get stuck in your head. My personal favorite: Clean It Up….my daughter\’s favorite: Pig On Her Head.
