The Most Important Story

Envoy House Publishers has recently released their newest part of the Most Important Story Ever Told series in the form of an amazing New Testament for children that uses the easy to read New Living Translation!

This new version of the New Testament is the latest product in The Most Important Story Ever Told (MIS) series, which originated with the creation of a 32-page presentation of God’s plan of salvation. With more than 80 million copies in print in over 112 languages, this Gospel booklet is undeniably one of the most successful evangelistic tools available and has been used by numerous well-known Christian ministries, including Samaritan’s Purse (Operation Christmas Child-the shoe box program), Operation Mobilization, Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Child Evangelism Fellowship, and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Between the facts presented, the coloful layout and images and the wonderful message, I for one was truly impressed by this children’s Bible.  The best part though was the look of absolute delight on my 9 year old’s face as we went through it together and I explained what it all meant.

Each individual book of the Bible includes an introduction to the book and writer, background facts, and interesting details to look for in the following pages. It also includes a section that challenges memorization of key scriptures, a map where kids can discover where Jesus did different things, and a dictionary that explains words essential to understanding our faith. This is a fun and easy way to come to know God and start reading the Bible.

I truly appreciated that the entire first section offers sections of scripture from the Old Testament that relate directly to things found in the New Testament!  I also really like how the sections and books of the Bible are color coded, making it easier for a newer Bible reader to get where they are trying to go as they learn to navigate the Word of God!
