Wow Baby Giveaway

wowbabybuttonWow Baby offers an amazing variety of stylish, functional bibs and burp cloths for baby!  They are made of Natural Cotton and Organic Bamboo so they are soft to baby’s skin, but very absorbant!

Hand crafted in the USA, we use sophisticated prints to create irresistible baby gear that complement and add to your babies ensemble. A blend of natural cotton and organic bamboo fabrics create an attractive and yet absorbent combination that feels soft and luxurious against a baby’s skin. Our patent-pending detachable liner technology protects clothing against wetness even under the most trying circumstances. Cloth area provides maximum absorbency and is gentle on babies skin. Our products have been certified by the USA Federal Product Safety Board.

surpriseWow Baby sent me one of their Bibs N Burps sets (the Sunrise) to review. My sweet 2 month old niece is a spitter, so we knew it would come in handy and we were all immediately in love as soon as we used it for the first time.

The idea of having a detachable liner for both the bib and the burp cloth is ingenious! When everything needs to be cleaned up, simply detach the lining and rinse it off in soapy water and wash the bib as you normally would. When done, pair the two together again and away you go! So great!

I also have to say right off that we really appreciated that the fabric used in these products truly are very soft and the detachable liner is also surprisingly flexible and soft…NOT hot, crinkly and sticky like most of them are!!!

It’s also very obvious that Wow Baby takes customer care and satisfaction VERY seriously!

We take great pride in our products and as such offer a money back guarantee on all purchases. In addition, because we believe moms & dads our the best product reviewers, we greatly value their opinion and offer them 10% discount and free shipping all year if they sign up to be a Preferred Customer.

Their best seller is the Bibs N Burps collection which retails for $29 (unless you’re a preferred customer of course). Right now they are offering their 2008 cotton bibs and burp cloths at 20% off (no code needed, in shop promotion – Limited availability). But of course, Preferred Customers get 10% off and free shipping all year.

Nanny Deprived Giveaway

There are those shops that you may happen upon once in a blue moon.  The ones that serve a bigger purpose and offer truly unique and functional products at the same time.  I have recently been introduced to just one such shop…Nanny Deprived.

olive_02resizedWhen owner Amanda Cummings contacted me and asked if I would review her Mom T-Shirts, and showed me a few photos to choose from, I was definitely interested (and very excited).  When the T-Shirt arrived, I was thrilled to find that it was just as fun as I had imagined and it fits great!  I wear it all the time!  I am Nanny Deprived.

When I asked Amanda about the birth of Nanny Deprived, this is what she said…

We wanted our site to be more than just a store but more of a shrine to moms filled with fun quotes, poetry, mom facts, story contests, our blog and shopping. We try to find and sell the most fun and functional products for moms!

nannylemonduobigTheir entire line of Mom T-Shirts is definitely a fun place to start, but they offer so many products that moms will love that you must keep looking while you’re there. Their best selling product is Mom Spit, but they also carry amazing products like slings, diaper bags, jewelry, potty training needs, bath and body, great blankets, what seems like everything for baby and MUCH more!

I could seriously go on and on, but instead, I’ll send you over to the shop to get 15% off any order over $20 by using the code FROGGY. Just be sure to do it soon since the offer expires on June 30th!

nannydeprivedwhineYou may also want to decide what one of your favorite products is while you’re there (let me tell you, that will definitely be a challenge since you are definitely going to love a lot of their products) so that you can come back here and leave a comment to be entered to win your choice of any one Nanny Deprived Mom T-Shirt (non-bling)!

Once you’ve left a comment telling me your favorite, be sure to take advantage of any of these great EXTRA entry opportunities – remember to leave a new comment for each one:

Sinupret for Kids

sinupretSinupret for Kids is by far one of my very favorite products!  I began using it for the first time last December when one of my littlest ones came down with a cold.   Now, I’m using it again as both of my twins have yet another cold.

It is made with all natural ingredients and is totally effective.  Not only does it truly help their cough, but I know from experience that it will make their colds a lot shorter.  Sinupret supports healthy sinus function, immune function and respiratory function.  Something my little guys definitely need a little help with when they come down with a bug.

When you’re shopping for Sinupret for Kids, don’t let the price turn you around!  There are plenty of money saving coupons to be had (be sure to look for and grab one before you head to the store) and one bottle will last for several illnesses (or children if you have several sick at once).

Sinupret for Kids syrup promotes healthy drainage in the upper respiratory tract, improves airflow in the nose and supports healthy mucous clearance from the nose and sinuses. In addition to supporting sinus and respiratory functions, it also supports the immune system.

This one is DEFINITELY Mom Recommended!!!

Going Organic?

I wrote the other day about a super simple way to go organic in your children’s lunches, so I thought I’d share a few things here as well. Simply wanted to say that I LOVE the single serve organic milk that can be found in the juice aisle of my local Costco or other warehouse store!!

So if you’re looking for healthier items to pack in your kiddos lunches, start there. Going green and organic is a step by step process, so just that one little thing is a change for the better. Putting healthier things into our little ones is huge for me. I work hard to limit how much sugar and processed foods they get from day to day, so this was a great step toward making sure that their lunches reflect that as well.

Preserve Toothbrushes

Comments Off

In an effort to “go green” I have been trying out lots of new products (or at least new to me).  Each time I go to the store I try to pick up something to add to the list of organic or recyclable products.  A couple of months ago I heard about Preserve Toothbrushes (also known as Recycline) and put them mentally somewhere on my list of things to try.

Recently I was asked if I would like to try a couple out.  I was quick to say yes since I still hadn’t gotten around to purchasing these toothbrushes.  When they arrived, I took one out to give it a try.  I have to admit the 45 degree angle (recommended by Dentists for the most even clean) took a little getting used to, but overall the toothbrush is great!

What’s so great about them you ask????  Well, for starters they are made out of recycled plastic, come packaged in a reuseable travel case and when you are done, you simply visit the site to download a free label to send the toothbrush back to them.

Ok, next question …. what in the world do they want my old toothbrush for???  They take these used toothbrushes and make them into great new products like park benches, decks and even picnic tables!  So why not?

They are available at Target stores nationwide for only $2.04 and you can even print out a coupon for $1 off 2 Preserve or Preserve Jr. Toothbrushes by Clicking Here!!!  By visiting that link and visiting you’ll find out tons more great information as well!

The Green Path

I was recently introduced to The Green Path company by owner, Gary Hillery! He asked if I would try out one of their t-shirts and because of my focus on taking steps to go green I was thrilled to say yes. The idea of owning organic cotton clothing has been very appealing to me lately, but I just hadn’t done it yet.

When the shirt arrived I couldn’t have been more thrilled. It was soft and thick and beautiful! The design wasn’t just screened on, it was beautiful and simply part of the shirt. These shirts are 100% organic and are printed with Earth friendly water based dyes!  I was thrilled to see my oldest son wear it.

I had chosen the “Standout Shirt” in the Dune color and it was beautiful! The shirt says “Don’t Be Afraid To Stand Out … be yourself” – perfect for my young man who is embarking upon a new chapter in life!

The goal of the Green Path Company is to help raise awareness of the environmental issues we all face and to help educate people, both young and old, how simple it is to live a greener livestyle. They concentrate on 4 key areas in their business:

1. Raise awareness of the benefits of Organic products though our naturally inspired organic cotton apparel. If you have not felt the difference between organic cotton and traditional cotton you are missing something. Besides the incredibly soft feel, organic cotton uses no chemicals or fertilizers in the growing of the cotton or in turning the crop in clothing, ALL NATURAL.

2. Help teach respect for the environment through interaction with it. We do this through our volunteer trail restoration group, Clean Trails, and thorugh our Desert Hiking service we operate out of the Pointe Resort in Phoenix. Our trail group has donated over 100 hours of service during the last year to park clean up and trail restoration in our home town of Glendale.

3. Youth education. We work with the City of Glendale, Arizona and their Youth Recycling Program on ways to teach kids, ages 5 – 10, how to grow up green. We have developed a group of comic super heroes called the Green Crusaders who teach kids lessons on recycling, water conservation and energy conservation through the comic strip stories.

4. It’s Easy Being Green. We believe if you keep things simple more people with join us in our efforts. We sell the eco-friendly living handbook, It’s Easy Being Green, on our website and offer a free download on our site called Simple Green Living. The template offers 10 simple tips on ways to evolve to a greener lifestyle, shows you simple ways to eliminate junk mail, has water conservation tips and a simple calendar that helps remind you what to do and when to do it.

Take a look at their site to find out about the benefits of organic cotton, see their naturally inspired t-shirt designs and download the Simple Green Living Tips and start on your way down a greener path.

The Green Path has offered one of their Organic Cotton Tote Bags for you to enter to win. To enter, just visit The Green Path Company and take a look around. Come back here and leave a comment telling us what your favorite product or informational article was.

Sweetie Pie Baby Boutique

This contest has ended and the winner has been notified.  Thank you for your interest and be sure to visit our home page for all the latest contests (www.froggyreviews.com).

I’m thrilled to be sharing a fabulous boutique with all of you today that specializes in carrying quality natural and organic products for babies!  Sweetie Pie Baby Boutique carries a wide variety of natural and organic baby products to include baby clothes, toys, skincare, slings and carriers, bedding, and more! Some of our featured designers are Speesees, LuLus American Baby, Mia Joie, Zoe and Sprout, and more.

I asked Cameo, owner of Sweetie Pie Baby Boutique to tell me why she decided to open her wonderful boutique:

After having my daughter, I had a difficult time finding quality natural and organic baby products for her. Thus, the concept of Sweetie Pie was born. I decided to open a boutique where parents could shop for stylish, natural and organic products in one place. I also wanted to create an environment where parents could learn about healthier choices in baby care. Our mission is simple, to provide parents with healthier alternatives in the care of their babies and children.

Their products are a huge hit with parents, but their most popular line of products is the Zoe and Sprout organic onesie. “Parents find these onesies comical and super soft!”

Many families are really beginning to focus on purchasing more environmentally responsible products. What I love most about this option is that although knowing that the environment benefits, it is super important to me that by purchasing organic and natural products I am exposing my little ones to far less pesticides and chemicals on their very sensitive body and system. At Sweetie Pie Baby, much effort and care goes into finding the best products to offer:

We continuously strive to bring our customers the very finest in stylish natural, organic, and non-toxic products for your little ones. Feel confident in knowing that we work with designers and businesses who are socially and environmentally responsible in their business practices.

They very generously have offered my readers a 20% discount! Just use the code FROG20, but hurry, this offer expires July 6th.

Sweetie Pie Baby is also offering one luck commenter a $25 gift certificate to go shopping in the boutique. Here’s what you need to do to enter:

  • Visit Sweetie Pie Baby and take a look around.
  • Come back here and leave a comment letting us know what your favorite product is!

Be sure you enter by June 18th.  This contest is only available for shipping to those who have US addresses.

Going Green?

I’ve been talking a lot lately about going green! A while back I posted about a book that I recently had the opportunity to review at A Frog In My Soup one of the main ideas throughout the book is what a huge difference even one small change can make.

The most amazing thing that has come out of reading Gorgeously Green (by Sophie Uliano) is the fact that every decision I make while shopping is checked carefully.  If they offer an organic version of the product I’m more likely to pick that up now.  Especially fruit!

The last time I was at the grocery store I picked up a bag of organic apples because they happened to be near me at the moment and I was still in the middle of reading the book, so I figured “why not?”.   We love apples around here and our biggest favorite is Braeburn apples.  The next day I cut one up to share with my little ones and I honestly was surprised by how much more flavor there was.

Maybe it was a fluke … maybe not!  I have heard that much of the organic produce purchased probably won’t taste that much different.  Some of it will have a little more flavor and some taste a little fresher, so my experience was a bit of a surprise to me!

The trend toward making “greener” choices in life is becoming overwhelmingly popular.  I thought it was just me, but it obviously isn’t.  Between the issues with the hormones being found in plastics and lead in our children’s toys and pesticides in our food consumers are making overwhelmingly positive changes in their choices when they purchase.

Are you going green?  What change(s) have you made recently?

Note: Feel free to visit this post to read all about the book mentioned in the first paragraph of this post for information on how to purchase it.
